Hi everyone,
As all of you know, Hurricane Sally blew in to town a little closer and stronger than we expected and to say she was unkind to Steamboat Landing would be a gross understatement. I notified the insurance company the day after the storm and they sent a team out to begin the water mapping and assessment of the damages to the property. We have great damage to the dock, fences down, limbs and of course washed up materials, however, that is all things Tatiana and I can take care of.
What we can not handle is the damage in the rooms. 18 of 18 suffered water damage, from the roof as well as from around the windows. In a couple of the rooms, the windows were actually blown into the room.
Below is a list of the damage to the rooms:
We are looking to have the refurbish complete by January but, as everyone knows, that is fluid and subject to change. Tatiana and I will be working on the fences, the dock and all the projects that we are able to do on our own and will update when complete.
Thank you all for your patience, love and overwhelming support!! We are going to come through this storm stronger than ever.
We are looking at at minimum 3 months for the repairs possibly longer. Again, we will update with progress and strive to keep you all informed.
We are working to let everyone who owns a week in October, November and December know that we will work with them on getting their weeks banked or will work to flex their week to a week that we will be open again.
We are a little overwhelmed and are working as hard as we can, we will notify everyone scheduled by mail, phone or email as soon as possible.
Thank you
